28th Annual David Samrick Golf for Kids Raises Over $345,000 to Support Children and Families

Blodgett – St. John’s is excited to announce the resounding success of the 28th Annual David Samrick Golf for Kids event, which raised an incredible $345,897 to support the organization’s essential programs. Hosted by Mill Steel Company, this event not only marked the biggest fundraiser of the year for DABSJ but also celebrated the enduring relationship between Mill Steel Company and DABSJ.

The event, held at the Egypt Valley Country Club on July 22, 2024, brought together enthusiastic golfers, generous sponsors, and dedicated supporters, all unified by a common goal: to support the crucial services provided by DABSJ. The overwhelming success of this fundraiser is a testament to the legacy of former Mill Steel CEO and long-time DABSJ supporter, David Samrick. His vision and commitment left an indelible mark on both organizations, fostering a partnership that continues to make a significant impact spanning nearly three decades.

Proceeds from the event will directly support DABSJ’s vital programming, including foster care, adoption services, residential treatment, family preservation, and behavioral health services. These funds are essential in ensuring that DABSJ can continue to impact over 16,000 individuals annually, making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families in need.
