Parent-Baby

At D.A. Blodgett–St. John’s, we believe children do best when families have the support they need to stay safe, strong, and connected.

DABSJ has expanded that commitment with our new Parent-Baby residential program, designed specifically for young parents involved in the foster care system and their babies.

A Place to Grow Together

Parent-Baby provides young families with a safe, welcoming place to live while they build the skills, confidence, and connections they need for the future.

Stability & Belonging
A supportive residential environment where young parents and their babies can feel safe, welcomed, and cared for.

Skills for the Future
Hands-on support helps young parents strengthen parenting skills while developing the independent living skills needed for life beyond DABSJ.

Connection & Community
Through our partnership with Grace’s Table, young parents will build relationships and a network of support that can continue long after their stay with us.

Strengthening Families

DABSJ staff are trained in the Incredible Years curriculum, an evidence-based approach that strengthens parent-child relationships, builds positive parenting skills, and supports children’s social and emotional development.

“We’re honored to offer hospitality to these young parents and their babies, supporting and advocating for them at this important stage in their lives.”
— Joel Bell, President & CEO

Homes. Hope. A Future Together.

Parent-Baby is about more than providing a place to live. It is about surrounding young families with people who believe in them, helping parents discover their strengths, and giving babies the opportunity to begin life with stability, connection, and hope.

DABSJ is inclusive and welcoming – from our team members, to the children we serve, to the families we license as foster parents. You could play a part in providing homes and hope for children who need a place to be themselves.
