DATES: February 21, February 28, and March 7 from 6pm-9pm.
Many children in foster or kinship care have history of exposure to trauma. Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma: A Workshop for Resource Parentsis a training curriculum developed by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) designed to help resource parents understand the link between trauma and their children’s often baffling behavior, feelings, and attitudes. This training will provide resource parents practical tools to help their children move forward from their traumatic pasts, to recognize and reduce the impact of their children’s traumas on themselves, and to seek useful support from others.
*You will receive 9 credit hours for attending 3 sessions in
consecutive order.
