Caring for children who experience challenging behaviors.
Many children in foster or kinship care experience challenging behaviors, as a result of exposure to trauma. Caring for Children Who Experience Challenging Behaviors: A Workshop for Resource Parents is a training developed from the work of Dr. Ross Greene, author of The Explosive Child. This training is designed to help resource parents understand how to help their children manage and cope with their challenging behaviors, feelings, and attitudes. This training will provide resource parents practical tools to help their children understand their behaviors, overcome and cope with their challenges, reduce the impact of those behaviors on themselves and others, and to seek useful support from others.
All sessions are from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Only one session is required to receive credit.
*You will receive 2 credit hours for attending an entire session. Light refreshments. Sorry, child care is not available.
