We’re busy making plans for the 2026 DABSJ Holiday Gift Drive and look forward to sharing more about this year’s opportunities to get involved!
Check back in mid-October for details on how individuals, families, groups, and businesses can support the Holiday Gift Drive through donations, volunteering, and more. Individual wish lists will be available beginning the first week of November.

Annual Holiday Gift Drive!
Everyone deserves a childhood – but the children who come to D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s have faced things like trauma, abuse, neglect, and other challenges. Like any other children, what they need most is to feel safe and loved. That need is sometimes deepest during the holidays.
You can help give them the childhood they deserve – to experience the warmth and wonder of the season, the simple joy of a gift picked just for them. The DABSJ Holiday Gift Drive is your chance to provide that magic.
Gifts will be distributed to over 450 kids in our counseling, foster care, adoption, and residential programs.
Six Ways to Give Back
Shop Wishlists
Children make a list, and you get to shop it! Personally shop for gifts for kids. Donors, families, or groups can sign up for as many wishlists as they would like and then will receive a shopping list for each individual child.
Give a Monetary Donation
Not able to shop but still want to support? You can also give a monetary donation of any amount to the Holiday Gift Drive.
Donate General Toys & Gifts
Collect toys and gifts of your choice and drop them off for kids that don’t have wishlists. Please contact events@dabsj.org
Volunteer
At this time, all volunteer needs are filled. If additional opportunities become available due to weather or cancellations, we will post updates on our Facebook page.
Fundraise for the Drive
Mobilize your friends and family to make holiday magic for children and families at DABSJ with your own online fundraising page.
Host a Collection
Collect new toys and gifts at your office, faith community, or other location of choice, and drop them off for children without wishlists. Donations are requested by December 6 at our office. Download the flyer to get started and contact events@dabsj.org with questions.
Wrapped in Hope Week
Getting gifts that give hope ready to go
The magic and hope of the Holiday Gift Drive comes from many community members coming together to make it happen! We are on track this year to host our largest Holiday Gift Drive yet, but that will require even more compassionate partners to surround these families and children with support.
DABSJ’s Wrapped in Hope Week is a way for people and organizations to help us meet this year’s increased need. The week-long initiative is designed to rally the community to help spread holiday cheer to vulnerable children in West Michigan.
December 2-7: Volunteer or drop off gifts everyday from 10AM-4PM

Join us as we gather as a community to wrap presents and help get all our wonderful donated gifts ready to go to families.
- December 6, from 9am-5pm
- Shifts are 9am-11:30am, 11am-1:30pm, 1pm-3:30pm & 3pm-5pm
