D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s President and CEO Mary Muliett has been appointed to Kent County’s Family and Children’s Coordinating Council. Muliett was appointed in late April to fill a mid-term vacancy. She will serve through the end of 2024.
The Kent County Family & Children's Coordinating Council was formed by the Kent County Board of Commissioners in 1991 to coordinate and improve services for children, youth, and families in Kent County. The Council is made up of the directors of the County and State departments that provide services to families in Kent County and representatives from education, business, private agencies, private funding organizations, consumers, and advocates. The primary service coordination work of the Council is done through its four committees, which are based on key stages in child development and the recognition that development takes place in the context of a family.
“I am honored to serve in this capacity,” said Mary Muliett. “The Council’s mission to enhance the well-being of children, youth and families so they can achieve their greatest potential is in direct alignment with my personal and professional mission.”
Muliett started at D.A. Blodgett- St. John’s in December 2020. She has more than 25 years of health and human services experience. Previously, she served as Vice President of Community Services at Samaritas.
