HELP OVER 500 KIDS RECEIVE GIFTS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON WITH VIRTUAL HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE
November 17, 2020 GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s (DABSJ) is hosting a virtual holiday gift drive for more than 500 kids. These kids receive services from the agency through DABSJ’S foster care, residential treatment, and counseling programs. While the agency has a holiday giving drive every year, this year it was moved virtual due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
DABSJ believes that everyone deserves a childhood and the holidays are such a memorable part of growing up. We are asking our community to help us provide some of that magic by purchasing holiday gifts for these kids.
“Many of the kids we help have experienced some type of trauma, and now they are having to deal with the effects of a global pandemic. These kids need our help now more than ever,” said Katy Buck, Director of Communications at DABSJ. “Receiving holiday gifts will help these kids get the childhood they deserve and experience a magical holiday season.”
“We are at just over 50% of our goal and are reaching out to our community so we can help all 500+ children this year,” said Allyssa Murphy, Communications Specialist. To participate in the virtual holiday giving drive visit the drive webpage or dabsj.org. If you have questions or would like to discuss donation options for your company, please contact Allyssa Murphy at gro.jsbad@yhpruma.
