At D.A. Blodgett St. John’s, we provide counseling, foster care, adoption, mentoring, and residential care. Each service is different, but all share a common thread – life-changing love.
Across the community, we advocate, teach, mentor, protect, provide, and prove every kid has incredible potential, even when the world has told them otherwise.
We provide more than 20 services, impact 9,000 lives every year, and work tirelessly to ensure all children and families have the love, support, and resources they need to thrive – today and into the future.
Whether you are considering adoption for an unborn child, looking to adopt a baby or an older child, we are here to support you. Each adoption journey is unique, but they are all filled with love.
Counseling and family preservation provides a variety of supportive services to children and families.
Our goal is for the child to be reunited with their biological parents in a timely manner. When this is not possible, adoption becomes the goal. Thus, foster care provides a temporary home for a child in special need of safety, security and a loving, supportive family.
Changing lives by matching kids in need with a caring mentor.
St. John’s Home provides intensive therapy in a warm, home-like setting for boys and girls who have suffered abuse and neglect.

Helping children and empowering families by providing safety, advocacy and support.
Sometimes, for their own safety, children cannot live with their parents. We help children who have experienced abuse or neglect with emergency shelter and healing therapy. We find them stable families through our foster care and adoption programs.
Sometimes parents need help raising their kids. We provide a variety of counseling and mentoring services that help families remain stable and healthy.
