Did You Know?
Did you know that licensed foster parents are mandated reporters? This means that you are legally obligated to report all suspected abuse or neglect of a child. This includes information a child might disclose that occurred in their birth home, at school, at daycare or even in your own home! Foster parents are required to immediately report the suspected abuse or neglect of a child to Centralized Intake (1-855-444-3911), complete a DHS-3200 (found on Foster Parent Central) and notify the foster child’s worker. Please know it is not enough to simply tell the worker – as a mandated reporter, YOU are responsible for reporting to MDHHS.
Fun Activities for the Family
Take a breather and maybe a picnic to watch planes take off and land at the Grand Rapids International Airport! Be sure to tune your radio to 1650 AM and listen to air traffic controllers do their job. The viewing area is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM with picnic tables ready for you to enjoy.
