90 Day Short Term Residential Evaluation
STEP is a coeducational setting that serves youth ages 6-17. A comprehensive assessment is completed and based individually on the needs of each child. Assessments can include: OT, education, cognitive, and speech evaluations when there is a need. We provide a psychiatric evaluation for each child and use CAFAS, ACE screening, Thinking skills inventory. There is a Multidisciplinary Meeting that takes place for each student to discussing discharge recommendations and needs.
To make a referral, please submit the referral form as well as a copies of the following documents: Initial Service Plan, most recent Updated Service Plan, and if applicable, psychological evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, and Individualized Education Program. Please email documentation to our intake specialist.

A treatment team will be assigned to each student consisting of a Clinical Manger, Program Manager, House Manager, a team of Direct Care Counselors, a Clinician, Assessment Specialist, Nurse, and Case Manager. In addition, contracts will be maintained with other services as needed. Educational services are provided either through a community school or onsite with Lighthouse Charter Academy. Daily attendance and youth's academic progress will be monitored and submitted monthly to the case worker and families.
